One, Two, Buckle My Shoe
This is a fun traditional nursery rhyme that works well with props (sticks, for example) or if you point to whatever the song refers to (a door, for instance).

One, two,
Buckle my shoe.
(Hold up one finger, then two.)
(Touch your foot's arch--where a shoe buckle would be.)
Three, four,
Shut the door.
(Hold up a third finger, then a fourth.)
(Mime shutting a door. [Or point to the room's door.])
Five, six,
Pick up sticks.
(Hold up five, then six fingers.)
(Mime rapidly picking up objects, alternating hands.. [Use real sticks if available.])
Seven, eight,
Lay them straight.
(Hold up seven, then eight fingers.)
(Mime laying the objects down, one after another. [Use real sticks if available.])
Nine, ten, . . .
Do it again!
(Hold up nine, then ten fingers. Pause for suspense. . . .)
(Shake all ten fingers. Yay! Clap.)
NOTE: If use the more traditional line, "a big, fat hen," have a hen puppet ready or be prepared to imitate a chicken. Otherwise, you'll leave your audience confused.
