Fingerplay: This Little Calf

"This Little Calf Eats Grass"

 

An oldie but a goodie for Preschoolers and Kindergarteners.  Remember that you can change the animal to a lamb or a colt if need be.

 

 

 

 

This little calf eats grass.

    This little calf eats hay.

And this little calf does nothing at all

     But lie in the meadow all day. 

(finger calf: thumb is head, fingers are legs)

(hide first hand; create a second finger calf)

(hide second hand; create a third finger calf)

(fold fingers so third finger calf lies down)
