For Ages 3 - 5   [20 - 25 minutes]

One basic pattern for Preschool / Kindergarten storytimes comprises an opening song and spiel, a closing spiel and song, 3 picturebooks, and 2 non-book interludes.  Each non-book interlude consists of either a song or 1 - 3 fingerplays or activity poems.

It's always good to have one additional book and one or two additional non-book items to use as backups.  Note that your opening and closing song can be the same song.
