"The More We Get Together"
Here's a song that works wonderfully as either an opening or a closing song. It's especially good for Early Elementary audiences, but works fine for Preschool / Kindergarteners as well.
The more we get together,
Together, together,
The more we get together,
The happier we'll be.
For your friends are my friends,
And my friends are your friends.
The more we get together,
The happier we'll be.
American Sign Language hand motions add interest to the song. Be sure to rehearse the motions with your audience before you sing. Go slow!

touch "pursed" fingertips together (like 2 chihuahuas kissing)
bring fists together, fingers & heels of hands touching, thumbs uppermost
brush open palm upward on center of chest (heart)
point with forefinger, thumb pressed flat to folded fingers*
hook forefingers, switch
touch open hand to chest

*Be sure your thumb is pressed down. If the thumb is extending upward while you point with your forefinger, you are making the sign for "gun," not "your."
